11월 10일에 64비트 리눅스를 위한 네이버 웨일 브라우저가 출시되었습니다.
deb 파일로 나왔으며, 우분투 14.04 LTS 64비트 이상을 지원한다고 되어 있습니다.
파일의 이름은 naver-whale-stable_amd64.deb 입니다.
32비트용이 없다는 점과, rpm 패키지가 제공되지 않는 점이 아쉽네요.ㅜㅜ
설치 파일은 http://whale.naver.com/download/ 에서 다운로드할 수 있습니다.
또는, 터미널에서 다음을 입력하여 직접 설치할 수도 있습니다.
$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://repo.whale.naver.com/linux/ stable/" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/naver-whale.list'
$ wget -q -O - http://repo.whale.naver.com/linux/stable/public.key | sudo apt-key add -
$ sudo apt-get update

현재 버전은 1.0.37.21이며, 크로미움(크로뮴) 60.0.3112.113에 기반하고 있습니다.
구글 크롬의 크로미움 버전 62.0.3202.94와 비교하여 구버전임을 알 수 있습니다.
<데비안 9 Stretch>
데비안 9 Stretch에서 libssl과 관련하여 다음과 같은 오류가 뜨면서 실행이 되지 않습니다.
/usr/bin/naver-whale-stable: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
임시 방편으로
데비안 8 Jessie의 libssl1.0.0 패키지인
1.0.1t-1+deb8u7(libssl1.0.0_1.0.1t-1+deb8u7_amd64.deb)을 데비안 9 Stretch로
가져와 설치하면, 다음과 같은 오류가 뜨면서 역시 실행이 되지 않습니다.

데비안 8 Jessie의 백포트 저장소에 있는 libssl1.0.0 패키지인 1.0.2l-1~bpo8+1(libssl1.0.0_1.0.2l-1~bpo8+1_amd64.deb) 역시 같은 오류가 뜨면서 실행이 되지 않습니다.
데비안 7 Wheezy와 데비안 8 Jessie 및 우분투 14.04 LTS 이상에서는 libssl1.0.0 패키지를 사용하고 있습니다.
그런데 데비안 9 Stretch에서는 libssl1.0.0 패키지가 아닌 libssl1.0.2 패키지와 libssl1.1 패키지를 사용합니다.
위 오류는 libssl1.0.0 패키지를 사용하지 않음으로써 발생하는 패키지 의존성 문제가 아닌가 생각합니다.

데비안 9 Stretch와 달리 libssl1.0.0 패키지를 사용하고 있는 데비안 8 Jessie에서는 다음과 같은 오류가 뜨면서 실행이 되지 않습니다.

libssl1.0.0 패키지를 사용함에도 불구하고 위와 같은 오류가 뜹니다.
샌드박스 관련 오류인듯 한데 더 이상은 알 수가 없군요.
